Ville's 'Mixed' Season

This is the second year for Cliftonville to enter a Mixed team into the Canterbury Summer Challenge held up at Polo Farm. A competitive league played on fantastic facilities, the League featured teams from Old Williomsonians, Folkestone, Blackheath, Ashford, Pfizer, Canterbury and Herne Bay.

In a culmination of availbility issues and poor performances Ville finished bottom of the League but great fun was had by all. Canterbury were deserved winners beating Ashford by a comfortable margin in the final.

Captains Cobbs thoughts: "Although some spirited performances were had we found ourselves outplayed by some very strong teams. However the opportunity to play against GB & England Laides Captain Mel Clelow among other great players is fantastic and enjoying the experience is what counts. We look forward to next years league."  

On top of the Mixed League, Ville also offer Mixed Training throughout the Summer, every Tuesday between April and August. We are also looking to carry this on throughout the season to strengthen our mixed outfit and present a challenge in next years Canterbury Challenge.
