Laura Morgan

Club Youth Development Officer & School Liaison Officer

CRB Approved, Fird Aid Trained, Level 1 Coaching Award

Laura joined the club when the Westgate Ladies moved over to Ville in 2008. She has been in charge of the Junior secton of the club for two years now and has put the foundations in place to allow the section to flourish in years to come. A Teacher by trade, Laura has the patience of a saint which combined with her Level 1 Hockey Coaching Award makes her a fantastic junior coach. During training, Laura concentrates her efforts on the early years, 7-11, teaching the hockey basic principles of hitting, pushing, and stopping

James Provins

CRB Approved, First Aid Trained.

In his tenth season at the club, Prov has learnt from previous coaches coaching techniques and specifically pushes towards the club bigger picture . A product of Ville's Junior section of old, James is the Men's 1st XI Captain with a wealth of tactical knowledge and a passion to push forward the club's development. A former student of Chatham House, James has close links with the school to improve the club and community link. Working under Laura, he looks after the senior bunch of Juniors, 12-16 with Alex. Using many of the coaching methods he uses with the Ladies training, Prov is a strong believer of giving his all on the pitch and behind the scenes of the club. At training he works on biulding skill levels, improving fitness and sportsmanship.

Alex Cowell

Junior Coach

CRB Approved, First Aid Trained

Alex has been a Cliftonville member for 5 years having started playing while at school. Alex recently left Chatham House but continues to return to assist with the coaching of hockey. Working alongside James, he specialises in high level skill training and agility. Alex holds the record as the youngest player to make his debut in the Ville 1st XI at the young age of 15. Having held a spot in the team for 4 years now, he has biult up a great knowledge of team play and strategy from the highest level of the club. His age allows easy comunication with the juniors creating a relaxed but well-directed training session.
